Christmas Carol Service 2014

GroupOver 300 people attended the Carol Service on December 14th. It was a joyful evening and we celebrated being a multi-national Church by having the five readings in different languages….English, Malagasy, Ibu (Nigerian), Australian and French.

balconyphotoThe choir was in fine form and not only supported the congregational singing but sang three solo pieces with great sensitivity. The choir has become well known in the region under the direction of our Musical Director, Richard Hunt.

A highlight of the service was The Nativity Play. Around 40 children participated in a simple but moving tableaux narrated by Emma Sharp and Nyere Gibson. The play included a guest appearance of newly- born Valentine who starred as the Baby Jesus!

After the service we gathered together for mulled wine and mince pies. The occasion also allowed us to say farewell to Bramwell and Jennifer after their four years of ministry in Bordeaux.
