Holi’s PhD at La Sorbonne – A short testimony
To You alone, Lord, honour and glory.
Here I am, Doctor of Science in Management from La Sorbonne University in Paris after 5 long years of waiting. In fact, my thesis defense was originally scheduled for December 2010. However, my destiny was linked to that of my thesis director.
The Lord made me wait for 5 years in order to accomplish the mission “to pray for my director who has been battling an illness for several years”. My thesis was at a complete standstill, but 5 years later, God calmed the storms and He lifted me up. Yes, because my director is still not well but the Lord knows that I accomplished my mission which was to witness to God’s love for my director.
Psalm 37.5 was and remains my motto: “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.” It is a bible verse which my mother gave me when I left home to marry the man of my life. Thank you to the Bordeaux congregation who encouraged me not to give up and to put my confidence in God because He is good and faithful.
