What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies and Website Hosting

If you have a WordPress account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Personal Data

We record such personal data that was provided by you when completing a Welcome Card or was subsequently voluntarily provided by you. As a minimum we record name and email address. We may also record other information which you have voluntarily provided which may include but is not limited to phone number and postal address.

Privacy of Personal Data

Personal data is securely stored in an online contacts system and is only accessible by the Bordeaux Communications Officer.  Two step access verification is used to protect against hacking and unauthorised access.

Confidentiality of Personal Data

Personal data concerning volunteer helpers/assistants and others may be included in documents which are all securely stored in a password protected online system and accessible by the Wardens, selected Committee Members and selected Chaplaincy Officers in order to contact you.

Personal data may be used to contact you regarding church activities, fellowship groups and/or any activities in which you have volunteered to assist. Personal data may also be used for similar reasons by the Chaplaincy of Aquitaine. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Personal data is not used for any other purpose.

Removal of Personal Data

Your personal data may be deleted upon request to one of the Bordeaux Wardens or the resident Bordeaux Priest provided that we are not obliged to keep your personal data for a period of time due to your involvement in particular church activities.

Viewing of Personal Data

Upon request, we will provide full details of the personal data that we hold about you.


Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site usually do not but may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
